THE WHY BEHIND THE WHAT

At Loud City, we hope all of our athletes grow stronger, faster, and leaner - but that’s only the beginning of what we believe someone can achieve through proper exercise and nutrition.

Chronic disease — including obesity, Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke and cancer — accounts for 70 percent of the deaths in the United States every year. Measurements of health such as blood pressure, bone density, blood sugar, obesity, body fat percentage, cholesterol, triglycerides, etc. are all symptoms of chronic disease. Modern medicine has all manner of medical interventions and pharmaceuticals to treat these symptoms, but no effective treatment to cure them.

We believe (through proven results) that constantly varied, functional fitness performed at high intensity is a non-medical health care that works. Regular training and proper nutrition allow people to avoid chronic disease and make behavioral changes that transform both body and mind for a longer, fuller life.


The METHODOLOGY

CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program designed to improve your overall functional fitness and physical health. Our philosophy is that constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity lead to progress. We believe in functional movements which translate to activities outside of the gym. The training movements include elements from olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, conditioning, and resistance training. We use a variety of time durations, intervals, and intensity levels to achieve results.

Our nutritional approach gives you direction without overwhelming you with dietary restrictions and limitations. We believe in small steps which lead to lasting change.
